My name is Sarah Mitsuko and I've spent more than a decade learning about Trauma, how to heal it in myself and others and how to avoid passing it on to the next generation. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Community Development and Sustainability, and have completed a 100 hour certificate training in Life Coaching, as well as 400+ hours of training in Cranial Unwinding and Polarity Therapy. I am also a Completion Process Practioner, a NARM Informed Professional, a certified Peer Support Specialist, and am currently enrolled in Gabor Mate's year long training in Compassionate Inquiry.
What all this means is that I have spent thousands of hours studying trauma and how to work with it. I have compared, contrasted and combined the approaches of many great teachers and completed several trainings. While I continue to learn new skills every day, I believe that I have all the tools I need to help guide individuals through the process of uncovering and healing childhood wounds and bringing a greater sense of peace, ease and well being into their lives.
I am passionate about studying Developmental Trauma, it’s lifelong effects on individuals, communities and society and how to address it in a helpful way. I believe that unresolved childhood trauma plays a huge part in our physical, mental and emotional development. I believe that whether or not we address and work with our trauma has a lot to do with what illnesses and dis-ease shows up in our body. It’s my understanding that The Body Keeps the Score and that trauma is in fact stored in the body. And so I’ve dedicated my work to Healing Developmental Trauma by offering both CranioSacral Unwinding and Trauma Coaching to address not only the mental, emotional or physical, but all three.
